Martin's Visit - February 2023

Martin has just posted a short Youtube compilation video of his February visit to Miriu. (click on link above). Although a relatively short visit he had 3 days meeting the Heads and staff of all 3 schools that we have supported recently. He also met and had time with all our sponsored students and also 5 of our students at following nursing or degree courses. Neil Hope's RAF Charity (Football Kit to Africa and Beyond) had supplied Martin with a large quantity of school football kit which he distributed at the schools.

Ruth and Joanna accompanied Martin but they used their time working with Acts of Mercy (local church group) in completing their own Days For Girls project. This involved training groups of local women and girls to make reusable sanitary kits on the old SSF Singer sewing machines. It must have been very hard work in very hot conditions but it is good to see in Martin's video that they did find time to relax with a real traditional church singing and dancing. Looked a really enjoyable way to celebrate an incredibly worthwhile project.
