Tobias' parents have no regular income - casual labourers. The background is also humble. Tobias' has many siblings, around six and the number is quite overwhelming to the parents.
At one point, Tobias and the rest of their family had lived in a tiny ,cold house near the river. Conditions were worse during the rainy season as the muddy floor would flood, causing serious chest complications especially to Tobias and the father.
The Food given by the joint efforts of Acts of Mercy and SSF is highly appreciated and almost essential.

Mercy is born of a poor background. Both parents being casual labourers who struggle to make ends meet. The joint support of Acts of Mercy and SSF to her and family is soul-touching to this little girl according to Adah who supervised the food bags.
As young as she is, Mercy has had to act as a mother to her 3 younger siblings in some instances, when both parents stay out late hours, working as casual labourers. Many are the times when they lack just a penny to oil their lamps at home and end up in darkness for a whole night. That means, assignments undone and eating in darkness and walking in darkness to their areas of sleep. Your support is highly appreciated.

This is Moses, a partial orphan. who was raised by a single mum .The family is quite large. It is a family of about seven kids. He is also very needy and grateful for the support that he is given.
Many people in the UK are struggling in this world recession with rampant inflation but most have access to some food via food banks. There are no such forms of help for children like Moses.
As the customs of Africa dictate, boy children are expected to be tougher than the toughest living conditions. In Moses' case, after the demise of his father, he, together with other brothers have had to skip school on several occasions to help their mother in fending for the large family. It has not been easy but the support offered by the act of Mercy has kept him in school, since other needs such as fertilizer are already catered for.

Cate's family has struggled to stay together and as a consequence the children have suffered. She now lives with a relative near Miriu Secondary School. Again she is desperately keen to show her gratitude for this food support.

Silas...a partial orphan too. He is also very needy.
There are times when Silas has to work over the holidays in people's farms ,to supplement their mum's house effort in catering for their needs. Every bit of the support accorded is essential in helping the boy to stay focused in his studies to brighten his future.

Billiah is born in a large family of nine. The struggle is real in the home.
The large family where Billiah was born has presented the parents with many problems. Billiah herself has had many days of agony particularly when she had to stay home for a while so that her siblings could attend school. It's now a relief as they can all go to school as other needs are provided by the Act of Mercy.
She is so grateful for the support that she and her family get.
